Abstract

Two preliminary feeding trials were conducted with milking cows fed Gliricidia maculata in mixtures (0 to 100%) with Brachiaria brizantha. High levels of intake indicated that Gliricidia maculata was quite palatable and acceptable to milking cows. There were no adverse effects on animal health, milk yield, fat and solids not fat (SNF) contents of milk.
